Tell Tale ….

There’s nothing more refreshing then a fresh piece of gossip and I am a gossip lover to the true sense, and genuinely believe that some harmless gossip is actually healthy, especially in the domains of your workplace.

Now, why did I claim gossip as healthy?

Thanks to celebrities, there’s always an element of entertainment in gossips. I dedicate a good 15 minutes of my busy morning schedule everyday browsing through Page 3 and many more at work for office gossips. Gossips about colleagues, bosses are equally fascinating.

The tit-bit that I gather from the so called gossip columns gives me a chance to peep in into the personal life of my favorite actors and actresses. And you see it’s quite an exercise at memory enhancement since there are so many link ups and break ups on a daily basis.

At work the gossip sharing sessions spans the break out area, canteen, lunch and after lunch, the corridors or even the cubicles are not spared. The gossips give insight into the management decisions, HR policies, hiring and firing, appraisals and so on..

Since gossip is so commonly attributed with women, backbiting I want to describe the positives of the same. When two or more people gossip and share the same opinion about others, it helps them relate and build a mutual trust. Many true friendships are built on the very foundations of shared gossips.

It is quite educating also as one can decipher the acceptable code of conduct built by the society of common man by listening in to the gossips.

It is also extremely creative; some people spice it up to no limits. I’ve come across people who can do it very passionately and animatedly.

The gossips allows even the most docile, the freedom at casual opinion and views about anything or anyone.

The interesting fact is that guys are not alien to this habit which has been associated to us since God knows when and why. Some of the really interesting gossips have come from none other than guys. Yes, they are real gossip mongers and can beat women any day as they can do it most naturally except for the fact that they lack the passion.

Even when this piece was cooking in my head a male colleague was busy gossiping about another colleague of ours. But hey its okay guys, remember it’s healthy and could really become your stay-healthy mantra. So! Gossip away to glory.

PS: I know guys will really not agree and even at this moment I can hear hubby strongly disagreeing in the background but it’s the fact right!! So please back me up ladies.
