While coming back from work in the MRT, there was a tall lady with real high heels. After giving her a good stare from head to toe, one of my friends, remarked that she is already so tall, why she needs heels. May be he got a sudden bout of inferiority complex cos the lady was taller than him. But who will tell the monkey that it is not only to add a few inches to our height that we are so heel fetish. Although, in my case, with an average Indian height that does hold true. Hang on that’s not all.

I usually suffer from Insomnia, okay that’s a strong word, (rephrase) I usually suffer from lack of sleep. Sleep eludes me many nights, it could be due to any reason: fear especially when I am alone, stress, or anything that increases my anxiety level.
But I have found ways to tackle it. So the occasions when it’s difficult to get sleep around are rare now. Let me tell you how I do that:

How many of us would be able to name our favorite roads to ride. By ride I mean a bicycle ride. After coming to Singapore, I have gone on quite a few cycling expeditions to different places.
And I loved all of those. In school days I used to cycle a lot to school and back, to the command library almost daily and a lot to friends places and sometimes cycling aimlessly around the cantonment area where my dad was posted. Life was as simple as riding a bicycle. It’s difficult with cars now although it may come very naturally to many of us. I simply got myself a driver.
Recently I did some look up on the net and realized that recreational cycling was quite a serious thing. There are clubs that organize cycling trips and there are pro-cyclists around who are into serious cycling. Not the racing ones though, they are in a different league altogether. Continue Reading »
